The specialty is concerned with diagnosis and medical management of these conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Referrals are welcome for patients with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Red and white oral patches where cancer is not suspected.<\/li>\n<li>Pigmented oral lesions<\/li>\n<li>Oral lumps<\/li>\n<li>Oral ulcers<\/li>\n<li>Infections in the oral cavity<\/li>\n<li>Oral manifestations of systemic disease<\/li>\n<li>A dry mouth<\/li>\n<li>Oro-facial pain of non-dental origin.
