We have exciting plans for transforming Wythenshawe Hospital in a way that will create a range of benefits for local residents and the City Region. Working with a team of planning and regeneration experts, we have developed a draft Strategic Regeneration Framework or SRF. The SRF sets out the blueprint for the redevelopment of the hospital site over the next 10-15 years.

The draft SRF outlines the overall vision and strategy for the redevelopment, the guiding principles that underpin it and the benefits it will deliver for local residents and the wider City Region. It also looks in detail at issues such as:
- appropriate land uses
- maximising jobs and economic growth
- managing operational requirements and local impacts
- car parking, transport and travel planning
- accessibility and wayfinding
- access to green spaces
- biodiversity
- climate change resilience and meeting climate change targets
- design excellence.
It is linked to a masterplan which illustrates how the Wythenshawe Hospital Campus can be physically transformed into a high-class sustainable health village that improves health and wellbeing for local people, provides employment and training opportunities through the quality and range of uses introduced onto the site and supports MFT’s Net Zero Carbon ambitions for the Campus.
