Sickle Cell on Stage: A Special Performance at the Museum of Liverpool<\/b><\/h2>\n

We have been made aware of a play that may be of interest to our patients, families, and healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

Currently, there is only one scheduled performance on Sunday, 19th April<\/b>, though there are rumours it may be brought to Manchester in the future. Tickets are free, so you will need to be quick if you want to catch this performance in Liverpool!<\/p>\n

Bro sits on a metal hospital chair, in a windowless A&E. It feels as though a thousand tiny hammers are banging inside his bones. Above, Sis pilots the Starship Wellness. She\u2019s on a rescue mission, but she can\u2019t find her brother, can\u2019t see him anywhere.<\/i><\/p>\n

Crescent Cell, Sickle Moon<\/i><\/b> is a powerful and imaginative invitation to healthcare professionals, people living with sickle cell, and the wider public to reflect on what compassionate, effective hospital care could look like for people experiencing sickle cell crises.<\/p>\n

Drawing on research from the Exploring Practices of Care (EPOC4)<\/b> study and co-created with people living with sickle cell, a haematologist, and theatre makers, the play explores urgent questions about pain, trust, and care in our health systems.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
