If so, have you considered standing for election as a Governor of our NHS Foundation Trust?<\/p>\n<p>Our Governors have a key role in representing our members and the public, and listening to their views and suggestions about the health services we provide as well as our future plans.\u00a0 Governors then share this information with the Board of Directors, who are responsible for running the Trust.\u00a0 This helps to ensure that our plans and priorities reflect the needs and wishes of our members and the wider community we serve.<\/p>\n<p>All qualifying members aged 16 years or over can nominate themselves to stand for election as a Governor.\u00a0 You do not need specific qualifications for the role, just an interest in healthcare and a commitment to representing members to the best of your ability.<\/p>\n<p>Elections are being held for three Public Governors: 1 in the Rest of Greater Manchester constituency and 2 in the Rest of England and Wales constituency.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a Public member, live in either of these two constituencies and would like to nominate yourself as a candidate for election as a Public Governor, please contact Returning Officer Ciara Norris at Electoral Reform Services (ERS) for a nomination form:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ersvotes.com\/mft2018\">ersvotes.com\/mft2018<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Telephone: 0208 889 9203<\/li>\n<li>Email: <a href=\"mailto:ftnominationenquiries@electoralreform.co.uk\">ftnominationenquiries@electoralreform.co.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Text: Text 2FT MU and your name and address to 88802<\/li>\n<li>Post: Electoral Reform Services Limited, The Election Centre, 33 Clarendon Road, London.
