Clinical Director for Clinical Haematology and Clinical Head of Central Haematology Laboratory since 2006. Chair General Haematology Task Force of British Committee for Standards in Haematology. Member National Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia screening programme laboratory subcommittee. Contributing author to local and national guidelines relating to haemoglobinopathy and general haematology.
