Gill Heaton OBE
Deputy Chief Executive
Gill joined Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) in 2001. She was previously Deputy Chief Executive at CMFT. She undertook her nurse training at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in the late 1970s, trained as a Health Visitor within community services and in the early 1990s completed the General Management Training Scheme.
She has held Executive Director roles for over 20 years in a variety of leadership positions and since April 2007 has been in the role of Deputy Chief Executive. Her previous roles include Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse.
Gill has worked as a senior nurse in various clinical areas, such as intensive care and medical wards and has held senior management posts in large acute Trusts, including Mental Health, as well as leading the General Management Training Scheme for the North West Region.
She is currently the Chair of the Manchester Provider Board.
