Public Governor (Rest of Greater Manchester)
Public Governor for Rest of Greater Manchester
Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2020 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting
As a retired NHS manager and also a renal transplant patient, I have practical experience of the structures and processes within the Trust. Having been a Governor of the former organisation for several years, I have enjoyed helping to improve patient experience and care, especially within the outpatients department.
I am passionate about improving patient satisfaction and see my role to raise questions on behalf of patients ensuring that where appropriate, issues are acted upon. I also feel that good customer service is essential to effective patient care, and I hope to build on my past experience in this area.
Our new Trust offers an exciting opportunity for all the people of Manchester to receive consistently excellent healthcare. Given our contribution to academic and pioneering research activities in Manchester, I believe that we truly deserve international recognition and I look forward to being part of the journey.
