Staff Governor for Medical and Dental

Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2023 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting.

A Consultant Urological Surgeon at the MRI, Ian has been in post for the past 17 years. Previously as the Clinical Director for Urology, and more recently as Clinical Head of Surgery, he has seen the Trust evolve and effectively liaises with Trust management at all levels.

Ian is keen to promote and develop the Trust including making MFT a pre-eminent place to work in the region, inspiring a feeling of pride and belonging in all colleagues with staff welfare and job satisfaction being at the forefront of priorities alongside valuing and rewarding those who regularly go the extra mile.  He believes that by embracing and utilising the views, opinions and skill mix of our dedicated staff, we can realise the full potential of MFT.
