Sue Rowlands

Public Governor (Manchester)

Public Governor for Manchester Constituency

Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2020 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting

I worked for over thirty years as a social worker and manager in local government, during which time I played a key role in establishing a multi-agency service for disabled children in Manchester.

Having spent two terms as a Public Governor of the former organisation, I am keen to continue my involvement, and use the valuable knowledge and experience that I have gained.  During my period as a Governor, the work of the Board of Directors and the Council of Governors has grown more complex and diverse, and I feel that the measure of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust’s success, will be in relation to improved outcomes for patients that will ultimately benefit all the people of Manchester and beyond who use the Trust’s services.
