Patients, families and staff gathered in the\u00a0foyer at the Children’s Hospital on Monday to hear speeches from Deputy Director of Nursing Michelle Milner, Hospital Therapeutic and Specialised Play Service Manager Susan Fairclough, Penelope Hart-Spencer, Chair of NAHPS and CEO of Starlight Children\u2019s Foundation Cathy Gilman on the importance of play in the treatment of sick children.\u00a0This was followed by a host of children\u2019s entertainment including super hero dancers, face painters, and performances from Magic Makers, Pets as Therapy and the RMCH Charity Mascot Humphrey Bear.
