Professor Dian Donnai
Strategic Clinical Director
Dian Donnai has worked at Saint Mary’s since 1977. She is a consultant clinical geneticist and Professor of Medical Genetics in the University of Manchester. She specialises in the genetics of developmental disability.
She has held many national and international leadership positions in Clinical Genetics including advisor to the Chief Medical Officer and president of the Clinical Genetics Society and the European Society of Human Genetics.
In Saint Mary’s Hospital she was Clinical Director of Genetics and then, for the past 15 years, Clinical Head of Saint Mary’s Division. She is now Strategic Clinical Director on the Senior Management Team.
Her children and grandchildren were all born at Saint Mary’s and her husband, Paul Donnai, was a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Saint Mary’s for over 30 years.
