Definitions

  • Treatment Cycle Started results – include all patients commencing treatment.
  • Embryo Transfer results – include all patients reaching the stage of having embryos transferred.
  • Clinical pregnancy – is one where a foetal heart and gestational sac is identified by ultrasound scan.

  • 1% of women aged under 35 whose embryos were transferred following IVF/ICSI achieved a clinical pregnancy.
  • 2% of all patients whose embryos were transferred following IVF/ICSI achieved a clinical pregnancy.
