Julia joined the NHS Graduate Training Scheme in 1984 after completing a degree in Theology at The University of Manchester.
A large part of her career has been spent within the West Midlands fulfilling the roles of Chief Executive at North Staffordshire NHS Trust (UHNS) for seven years and then Shropshire Community Trust.
Julia joined Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) in September 2013 as the Chief Operating Officer before securing the Group Chief Operating Officer role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) following the merger.
Most recently she has led the successful implementation of our Electronic Patient Record Programme (Hive) as Senior Responsible Officer as well as taking on the Deputy Chief Executive role.
