    \n We strongly recommend using active travel or public transport to get to Trafford General Hospital. Our hospital is in a suburban location where roads are often busy, and parking is oversubscribed. Trafford General Hospital is served by many bus routes and other community and sustainable transport options.\n<\/p>\n[vc_column_text css=””]For information about public transport services, please contact Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) on 0161 244 1000.     Walking is an excellent, low-cost, way to get some exercise into a busy schedule. Whether you\u2019re walking the whole way, to a bus stop, Metrolink or train station, the steps add up.<\/p>\n

    Trafford General Hospital is easily accessible on foot and is approximately a 20-minute walk from Urmston or Flixton.     Bus<\/h2>\n

    Trafford General Hospital is well served by buses. A number of bus routes stop directly outside the Hospital on Moorside Road with buses every few minutes.<\/p>\n

    Train<\/h2>\n

    The nearest railway stations are Chassen Road and Urmston. Both are a short walk or cycle from the hospital. Chassen Road only has a small number of services during the day. Urmston has around four trains per hour on the Liverpool-Manchester line.<\/p>\n

    Tram<\/h2>\n

    The nearest tram stop is at the Trafford Centre on the \u2018red\u2019 line of the Metrolink. This is approximately a two-mile walk from Trafford General Hospital, or a twenty-minute bus ride.<\/p>\n

    Electric Vehicle Charging<\/h3>\n

    We have a small number of electric vehicle charging points for public use in our car parks.<\/p>\n

    There are two \u2018fast charging\u2019 sockets in Car Park A (located at this What 3 Words pin<\/a>), and there is also a rapid charger close to Entrance 6 on the northern side of the hospital (located at this What 3 Words pin<\/a>). These chargers are on the Be.EV network. We do not guarantee access to a charging point, and users are also required to pay the relevant parking fees and follow fair usage guidelines.<\/p>\n

    Specialist Requirements<\/h4>\n

    If you have any accessibility enquiries or special requirements such as help with visual impairment, hearing, language, or communication matters, please ask a member of staff for assistance or contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS)<\/a>. The PALS team can provide information about NHS services and other sources of help such as Citizen\u2019s Advice Bureau and support you through an anxious time. They also give a voice to patients\u2019 issues, help to identify gaps in services and report to the Trust Board.<\/p>\n

    Travel vouchers<\/h4>\n

    Travel vouchers are for people who are not able to use ordinary buses, trains or Metrolink and have serious walking difficulties or are registered blind. They can be used to pay for taxis and for travel on accessible bus services such as Ring and Ride and Community transport.
