    How to get here<\/h2>\n

    Wythenshawe Hospital is situated in South Manchester and is easily accessible from the motorway network. For directions to the hospital, information on public transport, where to park and onsite facilities please visit the\u00a0Getting to the hospital<\/a> and Car parking<\/a> pages of our website.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”where”][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    Where to go<\/h2>\n

    Our wards are divided into separate zones of the hospital. To help you we have directional signage and use a colour coding system. You can also\u00a0download our hospital map<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    F block wards<\/h4>\n

    Follow the green route. These wards are located towards the centre of the hospital. Use the main entrance (entrance 3) or outpatients\u2019 entrance (entrance 5) to access these wards.<\/p>\n

    Acute block wards<\/h4>\n

    Follow the purple route. Use the main entrance (entrance 3) to access the Acute block.<\/p>\n

    Maternity wards<\/h4>\n

    Follow the blue route. Maternity is situated on the south side of the hospital and has its own separate car park. Use Entrance 13 to access the maternity wards.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”visiting”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    Visiting times<\/h2>\n

    Our wards have\u00a0different visiting times<\/a>\u00a0due to the many types of conditions and illnesses we treat at our hospital. Please check with ward staff as these are subject to change.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”flowers”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    Flowers<\/h2>\n

    Not all our wards allow flowers for patients due to the infection control risk. Please check with a member of the ward staff to see if you are allowed to bring flowers for your friend or relative.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”dosanddonts”][vc_column]

    Simple do\u2019s and don\u2019ts<\/h3>\n\t
      \n\n \t\t\t
    • Please check with the ward staff if you can bring flowers and food items to the ward you are visiting.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
    • Please adhere to visiting times and stay for short periods of time.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
    • Please ensure that you wash your hands and use the hand gel provided to stop the spread of infection.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
    • Please adhere to our patient charter which can be found on each ward to help make our patients stay as restful as possible.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
    • Please ensure children are supervised at all times and do not disturb other patients.<\/li>\n \t<\/ul>\n\t
        \n\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t visit if you are feeling unwell.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t sit on the patient\u2019s bed \u2013 use the chairs provided.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t put your feet on the patient\u2019s bed.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t touch the patient\u2019s wounds or any medical equipment they are attached to, such as drips or catheters. This can cause infections.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t use the patients\u2019 toilets. Ask the ward staff where the nearest public toilets are.<\/li>\n \t\t\t
      • Please don\u2019t share property, such as toiletries, tissues or items of hospital equipment with the patients.<\/li>\n \t<\/ul>\t\n\t\n\t\n<\/div>\n\n [\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”zero”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

        Zero Tolerance<\/h2>\n

        The Trust has a zero policy to aggression, violence and verbal abuse. Police will be called to incidents where staff and other patients have been abused. Our patient charter can be found on each ward and we ask that you act in accordance with this.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”smoking”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

        Smoking policy<\/h2>\n

        The Trust operates a no smoking policy in all our buildings and grounds. We ask that you respect this during your visit.
