Dr Clare Samuelson

Dr Clare Samuelson is a Consultant Haematologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and serves as the Clinical Lead for Adults at the North East and Yorkshire Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre (HCC). Specialising in the care of patients with sickle cell, thalassaemia, and rare inherited anaemias (RIAs), she provides specialist clinics at both the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and Bradford Teaching Hospitals.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Samuelson is a national leader in diagnostic quality and service standards. She chairs the UK NEQAS Scientific Advisory Group, overseeing national laboratory testing programmes for haemoglobinopathies, and serves as a medical lead for the National Haemoglobinopathy Peer Review Programme.
