Dr Emma Astwood is a consultant Haematologist at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and is the Paediatric clinical lead for the North East and Yorkshire HCC.

A paediatric haematologist based in Sheffield involved in the care of children with all haematological disorders across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and the Humber region. I am the trust lead for transfusion medicine and clinical lead for the haematology laboratory at Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I am the regional lead for haemoglobinopathies and rare anaemia care for paediatric services and the Paediatric lead for the North East and Yorkshire HCC. I have recently been appointed a member of the National Haemoglobinopathy Panel and look forward to supporting this development over the coming years.
