Dr Nandini Sadasivam (MB BCh, MRCP, FRCPath) is a Consultant Haematologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Clinical Lead for Thalassaemia and Rare Inherited Anaemias (RIA) for the North of England Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre (HCC). Since her appointment in 2017, she has become a leading voice in the regional and national strategy for red cell disorders. Dr Sadasivam is a principal investigator for thalassaemia and RIA trials in Manchester and the educational lead with the NW BAPIO.
Dr Sadasivam holds several high-level national appointments, serving as the Adult Thalassaemia Lead on the National Haemoglobinopathy Panel (NHP) and the Deputy Chair of the National Haemoglobinopathy Registry (NHR). Her HCC work focuses on addressing health inequalities and ensuring that patients in the North have equitable access to specialised treatments. A strong advocate for genomic medicine, she oversees the implementation of genomic services for red cell disorders across the North West.
