Biography
Dr Sara Elhag graduated from the University of Khartoum and completed her early medical training in Saudi Arabia. She went on to further develop her expertise in haematology as a Senior Clinical Fellow at Nottingham University City Hospital.
She undertook specialist haematology training in the North West and subsequently joined Manchester Royal Infirmary as an Adult Consultant Haematologist within the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Elhag is a key member of the Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre (HCC), where she has worked for several years, providing specialist care for patients with complex haemoglobin disorders.
