Tricia Coughlan is the HCC Patient Engagement Lead for the North West Sickle Cell and North of England Thalassaemia & RIA Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre. Based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, she provides the essential operational leadership required to coordinate specialist care for sickle cell, thalassaemia, and rare inherited anaemias (RIA) across the regional network.

Tricia serves as a vital link between clinical teams and the community, ensuring that patient voices are central to service design. By leading regional engagement initiatives and streamlining communication between partner hospitals, she works to create a more integrated and accessible healthcare journey. Tricia is dedicated to building a collaborative environment where the lived experiences of patients and their families directly inform and improve the standards of care across the region.
