Qualifying as a nurse in 2013, Jessica has approximately eight years of experience in Haematology. This includes starting as a Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse with NHS Blood and Transplant in 2017, followed by a role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Haematology Liverpool in 2020. Prior to this, Jessica worked for the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Research Unit, supporting clinical trials for individuals with Sickle Cell Disease. In addition to her work within the haemoglobinopathies team, Jessica supports and promotes safe transfusion practices as the Transfusion Practitioner for the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital sites. As of late 2024 Jessica has taken on the role of Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
