Haemoglobinopathy Clinical Nurse Specialist/Blood Transfusion Practitioner
I qualified as a nurse in 2013 and I have around 5 years’ experience working within Haematology; initially starting as a Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse with NHS Blood and Transplant in 2017, before moving to Haematology Liverpool as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2020. Prior to this, I worked for the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Research Unit supporting clinical trials for people with Sickle Cell Disease. In addition to my role within the haemoglobinopathies team, I support and promote safe transfusion for patients within the trust as the Transfusion Practitioner for the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital sites.
