Empowering the Thalassaemia Community: A Day to Connect, Learn, and Share

The North of England HCC invites you to a full-day programme featuring expert insights into key developments, interactive workshops, and community networking tailored for the Thalassaemia community. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather the facts, chat with peers, and enjoy a supportive environment away from a clinical setting.

Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What to Expect

  • Gene Therapy & Future Treatments: Updates and empowering sessions on treatment pathways, pastoral support, and fertility.

  • Patient Stories: Connect through shared experiences, inspiring journeys, and peer-led support discussions.

  • Interactive Workshops: Join sessions designed to build your health knowledge and confidence.

  • Charity & Support Stalls: Meet with organisations providing specialised advice and resources for the Thalassaemia community.

What’s Included (All FREE!)

  • Delicious Refreshments: Available throughout the day.

  • Lunchtime Meal: A full meal provided for all registered guests.

  • The Legendary Raffle: It’s back! The triumphant return of our raffle with fantastic prizes to be won.

  • Children’s Room: A supervised space for ages 3–12 with fun activities and entertainment. (Please note: Children must be fully toilet trained. Activities are aimed at younger children).

  • Target Audience: This event is specifically for individuals with full thalassaemia (major or intermedia) and their families, rather than those with trait, to ensure the content remains tailored to your needs.
