General ophthalmology, cataract surgery, retinal disease including AMD, diabetic eye disease, vein occlusions, emergency eye problems, laser capsulotomy, dry eyes, chalazion removal and eyelid cyst removal.


Biography

Ms Gupta trained at Manchester Medical School and completed an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience, with the majority of her speciality training undertaken at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Eye Hospital in Edinburgh. Ms Gupta completed her sub-speciality training in Edinburgh, appointed as a consultant at Princess Alexandra Eye Hospital for three years before returning to Manchester in June 2018.

Ms Gupta is a senior examiner for post graduate ophthalmology exams and lead for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Duke Elder exam; she chairs the sub-committee and sets the papers for the prestigious exam, preparing students keen to pursue a career in Ophthalmology. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators. Among her other accolades, Ms Gupta is a module lead for MSc Primary care Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer. She is also co-lead for a module for the Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science MSc  University of Manchester.
