About Ocular Prosthetic Services
The Department of Ocular Prosthetics was established at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in 1982.
The Ocularists at the Eye Hospital work alongside the Oculoplastics team to provide a range of services to patients. These include:
• Custom fabrication and fitting of various prostheses including artificial eyes, cosmetic shells and facial prostheses.
• Ongoing regular aftercare and maintenance of such devices.
• Provision of advice to GPs and other healthcare professionals.

Location
The department of Ocular Prosthetics is based at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and is located on the ground floor in clinic A.
Opening Hours
The department is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
