Biography

Dr Greenwood has been a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine in Trafford since August 2010. He grew up in Liverpool and graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2001. Before starting his specialist training in anaesthesia in the North West, he spent four years gaining experience in Anaesthetics, Acute Medicine and Accident & Emergency in and around Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dr Greenwood has special interests in intensive care medicine and ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia. He is also very interested in teaching and is the College Tutor for Anaesthesia and is involved in patient safety training for foundation doctors. He is also the Hospital Champion for the Acute Illness Management Course, the lead clinician for Trafford’s major haemorrhage protocol and Chair of the Hospital Transfusion Committee.
