Biography

Haematology training on UCL rotation. Consultant at Central Middlesex Hospital London 1994-2003. Appointed CMMC 2003. Clinical lead for adult Haemoglobinopathies and Medical Advisor to Manchester Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia centre. Chair North England Thalassaemia Association. Clinical Lead for Lymphoma at MRI. Clinical Director for Clinical Haematology and Clinical Head of Central Haematology Laboratory since 2006. Chair General Haematology Task Force of British Committee for Standards in Haematology. Member National Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia screening programme laboratory subcommittee. Contributing author to local and national guidelines relating to haemoglobinopathy and general haematology.
