About

Dr Motwani qualified with a distinction from the University of Manchester. As well as all aspects of general cardiology, he specialises in non-invasive cardiac imaging including cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, echocardiography & advanced nuclear techniques. He has trained in several world-class academic & clinical centres including the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Medicine, UK and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, USA.

His research across a number of fields has won several international, national and regional prizes and he has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, as well as several book chapters. His PhD thesis studied advanced cardiac MRI techniques in coronary artery disease.

Dr Motwani sees patients with the full range of cardiology problems including coronary artery disease, hypertension, arrhythmia, heart failure and valvular heart disease, as well as patients being investigated for symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations and blackouts. He also has a strong interest in wellbeing screening & preventive cardiology performing highly accurate personalised risk assessments utilising individual patient factors and coronary calcium scoring.
