Biography

Studied Dentistry in Athens and Medicine in Sheffield. Completed basic surgical training and higher specialty training in Oxford; Paediatric OMFS training in Craniofacial Unit, Melbourne RCH. Extensively involved in teaching and training as tutor in multiple courses, as previous trainee representative at the British Association of OMFS (Members Rep and Fellows in Training Rep), as co-organiser of various trainee conferences, presenting scientific work and chairing meetings nationally and internationally, and as co-author of books (including Oxford Handbooks), book chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals. Regular Intercollegiate FRCS examiner for OMFS. BAOMS SSIG Lead for Paediatric OMF Surgery and Co-Lead for TMJ Surgery. Appointed to Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2013 with sessions at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Trafford General Hospital, Dental Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital.
