Biography

  • Graduated from the University of Manchester
  • Completed surgical training in Manchester and the North West
  • Further specialist experience at the Cleveland Clinic (USA) and at stone centres in Amsterdam and Turin
  • Honorary Professor at the University of Salford
  • Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester
  • Awarded the prestigious British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) John Anderson Award in 2015 for contribution to urology in an outstanding or inspirational way
  • Over 30 publications and book chapters to date
  • Research doctorate (MD) from the University of Manchester after an intensive study of prostate stem cell biology at the Christie Hospital
  • Qualified educator (PGCert Distinction)
  • Former Training Programme Director for Urology in Manchester
  • Invited faculty member on numerous UK instructional courses
  • Lectured internationally on the management of stone disease
