Biography
Dr Bikov is consultant in respiratory medicine with a special interest in sleep and ventilation and the lead clinician for the Long-Term Ventilation Service at Wythenshawe Hospital. He is also a senior lecturer at University of Manchester.
He graduated as a medical doctor at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary in 2009 and completed his PhD training in 2014. As part of his PhD, he was an ERS fellow at National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. He received his board certificate in respiratory medicine in 2017 and ESRS certification in somnology in 2019.
Dr Bikov’s has a strong academic interest in in sleep medicine, COPD and long-term ventilation. He has contributed to more than 140 research papers and is widely cited. He regularly delivers lectures to graduate and postgraduate students at University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Semmelweis University and Campus Bio Medico University of Rome.
