Biography
Dr Harshana Bandara Lansakara Mudiyanselage is a Substantive Consultant in Sleep, Long-Term Ventilation, and Respiratory Medicine at the Northwest Lung Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital. He holds an MBBS, an MD, and the MRCP (Respiratory SCE), and achieved his GMC Specialist Registration via the CESR pathway in June 2024. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology (FAPSR).
Prior to his current role, Dr. Bandara served as a Locum Consultant specializing in Interstitial Lung Disease at Wythenshawe Hospital, and as an Acting Consultant at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Sri Lanka. Beyond his clinical expertise, he is a dedicated mentor, notably serving as resource person and a leader for the CESR/Portfolio Pathway for the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, he is an active researcher who has published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
