Biography

Mr Nejc Steiner, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Otologist and Skull Base Surgeon at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He graduated in medicine from the University of Ljubljana and completed a PhD on platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and its applications in otology. He completed a fellowship in lateral skull base surgery and complex otology in Manchester and is a member of the Manchester Skull Base Unit.

His clinical practice focuses on lateral skull base surgery, complex otology, and hearing restoration, with particular expertise in NF2-related schwannomatosis and balance disorders managed through multidisciplinary care.

As an academic surgeon, Mr Steiner’s research explores the use of PRP in ear surgery, including preparation protocols and translational applications to enhance tympanoplasty and tissue healing. He is dedicated to advancing outcomes and innovation in otology and skull base surgery.
