The Phlebotomy Service at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) provides high-quality, accessible blood taking services for patients referred by hospital clinics and GP practices. Our trained phlebotomists are responsible for the safe and efficient collection of blood samples to support diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.

To improve patient experience and reduce waiting times, the service now operates on an appointment-only basis across Altrincham General Hospital and Trafford General Hospital which allows for better planning, shorter queues, and a more personalised service.
