There are three Consultant Gastroenterologists in Trafford – Dr John Mason, Dr Marie McMahon and Professor Chris Summerton. They are supported by a full team of junior doctors and specialist nurses.
Many patients with gastroenterological problems undergo investigations with endoscopy (camera examinations of the upper or lower bowel).

Referrals
Outpatient clinics are run at Trafford General Hospital and at Altrincham General Hospital.
Referrals to the gastroenterology team can be made via your GP. We regret we cannot see patients without an appointment. Please advise your GP if you wish to be referred to us.
