Occupational Therapists work in a variety of health care settings within Trafford General Hospital. Occupational Therapists work in integrated therapy teams working alongside other Allied Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

Services are mainly between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some out-patient areas offering earlier and later appointments. Orthopaedics has an extended service Monday to Friday until 8pm and a weekend service.

Referrals
In-patient Services
Occupational Therapists attend multidisciplinary meetings on all wards Monday to Friday. They will either identify patients who require occupational therapy themselves at these meetings or the medical and nursing staff on the ward will make a referral to occupational therapy.
Out-patient Services
Referrals to occupational therapy out-patient services are accepted from CMFT Consultants.
