Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)

The Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT, or Otorinolaryngology) and Head & Neck Surgery department provides care for patients with a variety of problems.

These include general ear, nose and throat diseases, neck lumps, facial skin lesions, balance and hearing disorders, snoring and sleep apnoea, ENT allergy problems, salivary gland diseases and voice disorders. We also provide diagnostics for head and neck cancer. The department provides comprehensive specialist services for patients with voice disorders and hearing problems by working closely with Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and The Hearing Services Department.

Adult and paediatric ENT services are provided at both Altrincham General Hospital and Trafford General Hospital. Referrals to the ENT team can be made via your GP. We regret we cannot see patients without an appointment. Please advise your GP if you wish to be referred to us.

Trafford General: The ENT department is co-located alongside Audiology and can be found on the link corridor near the main Information Desk.

Altrincham General: Clinics are held on King Edward, which is upstairs in the original part of the hospital.

Consultant ENT Surgeons (Otorhinolaryngologists):
