Biography
Dr Anna Russell graduated from the University of Leeds in 2012 with an MBChB and an intercalated BSc in Clinical Sciences. She completed her Emergency Medicine training in the North West, including subspecialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and was appointed as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in 2026, working across Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Russell undertakes a number of leadership roles and has a keen interest in medical education, teaching in both an undergraduate and postgraduate capacity , and leading regional and national educational courses. She also participates in clinical research and is passionate about widening access to medicine.
