Biography

Dr Sharman completed her undergraduate training at Liverpool Medical School and postgraduate training at Dundee (1 year) and Oxford (4 years) Radiology training schemes. She has been a consultant radiologist since 2011. Her main interest is in thoracic oncology radiology including lung cancer and pleural disease.

Dr Sharman has worked at Wythenshawe since 2014, having moved from Salford Royal. Since being at Wythenshawe, she co-lead the development of the nationally award winning RAPID pathway for patients with suspected lung cancer and has also set up the tertiary challenging thoracic biopsy service at Wythenshawe Hospital. Dr Sharman is the radiology director for the lung screening programme in Manchester.
