Biography

Dr MacKintosh trained at the University of Manchester. She was awarded an MD in 2016 for her research into endometrial cancer risk and prevention which has been published internationally.

She undertook subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at St. Mary’s Hospital and The Christie Hospital and has undertaken additional surgical training in expert centres in Belfast and Germany, where she gained further skills in advanced ovarian cancer surgery. Dr MacKintosh was appointed as consultant gynaecological oncologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in November 2018 and is also a BSCCP accredited colposcopist, departmental Mortality Lead and subspecialty lead for clinical effectiveness.
