Biography
Dr Rebekah Samangaya is a Consultant Obstetrician and Subspecialist in Fetal Maternal Medicine. She has special interests in Fetal Medicine, High risk pregnancies, Renal and Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy.
Dr Samangaya trained at the University of Manchester and qualified in 1996. She undertook her clinical training in Leicester, Leeds and Manchester and undertook clinical and laboratory research in pre-eclampsia in Manchester, obtaining a MD. Subspecialty training in Fetal & Maternal Medicine was undertaken at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Dr Samangaya was appointed as Consultant at Saint Mary’s Hospital in 2011.
Dr Samangaya specialises in obstetric ultrasound, diagnosis of fetal abnormalties, prenatal counselling, invasive diagnostic procedures (amniocentesis and Chorionic Villous Sampling) and high risk pregnancies. She holds specialist clinics in fetal medicine and renal disease and hypertension in pregnancy. She is the Consultant Lead for Delivery Unit.
