Biography

Dr Azmi studied at the University of Manchester Medical School where she graduated in 2005. She completed specialist training in Diabetes and Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine in the North West Deanery in 2018.

She obtained a PhD from Manchester University in 2017. Her thesis focused on longitudinal studies in metabolic neuropathies: development of imaging biomarkers. This work has lead to many publications and presentations at national and international conferences.

She has a strong interest in research and teaching and has completed the PG Cert in Medical Education.
