Biography

Dr Yee Ho Chiu graduated from the University of Sheffield in Medicine 1993. Obtained MRCP in 1999 after which became research fellow at the ARC and Unit of Chronic Disease Epidemiology unit, Manchester in 2000, completing his PhD in chronic pain and psychosocial factors, Hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal axis. He then completed his specialist training in Liverpool and was clinical lecturer in University Hospital Aintree before becoming Consultant and clinical lead for Rheumatology at Wirral University Teaching Hospital from 2008-2022. He has held posts as chair of NMP committee, Clinical services lead, IVIg panel chair and chair of biosimilar steering group in Merseyside. He is an external advisor to the PHSO. He was then recruited to the Kellgren Unit at MRI in March 2023, where he conducts regular CTD and inflammatory arthritis clinics, Young adult transition and Behcet’s clinics.
