Biography
Adam Reid is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at the University of Manchester. He has a specialist clinical interest in trauma, peripheral nerve injury and complex limb reconstruction. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, a trustee of the British Foundation for International Reconstructive Surgery and Training (BFIRST) and Co-lead for Academic Clinical Fellows at the University of Manchester Integrated Clinical-Academic Training Program. He leads a research team at the Blond McIndoe Laboratories, University of Manchester focussing on peripheral nerve injury/regeneration and tissue repair. He has experience of translating novel technology for nerve injury into first-in-man studies, in addition to several other translational/clinical research projects.
