Mitral Valve Repair Surgery including Tricuspid Valve and Radiofrequency Ablation Surgery. Minimally Invasive Mitral and Aortic Valve Surgery. Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery including Acute Coronary syndrome. Aortic Vascular Surgery including Aortic Root Replacement/Repair and Emergency Surgery.


Biography

Graduated from Glasgow University in 1994 and then undertook General Surgery training in the West of Scotland and Cardiothoracic Training in London. Became Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1998. Was awarded Doctorate of Medicine from Imperial College, London 2004 following research into Gene Therapy for Myocardial Ischaemia Reperfusion Injury at Harefield Hospital, under the supervision of Professor Sir M Yacoub, and BHF support.

East Midlands Specialist Cardiothoracic Surgery Training 2002 – 2010. Awarded Intercollegiate Certificate FRCS(C-Th) in 2009 and UK Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2010.

First Appointed as Locum Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester in January 2011. Have been a Locum Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Manchester Heart Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary since September 2012.
