Biography
Ms Shah completed her post-graduate training in orthopaedics in Mumbai, India, graduating in 2012. Following this, she developed an interest in paediatric orthopaedics and undertook a fellowship at Wadia Children’s Hospital in Mumbai, focusing on the unique challenges of musculoskeletal care in children.
Driven by a desire to specialise further in complex limb reconstruction, Ms Shah pursued an advanced fellowship in limb deformity correction in South Korea, gaining exposure to advances, complex techniques and multidisciplinary approaches in paediatric limb reconstruction.
In 2015, Ms Shah moved to the United Kingdom to further hone her expertise in paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction. She trained as a fellow at leading centres including Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Leeds Royal Infirmary, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, consolidating extensive clinical experience in trauma and elective complex paediatric orthopaedic surgery and management.
After completing a year-long locum position at Oxford, Ms Shah joined the Manchester team in 2019 as a Consultant, where she continues to contribute to the field of paediatric orthopaedics, specialising in trauma, limb deformity correction and complex reconstructive procedures.
She continues to keep up with advances in the field by visiting centres of excellence nationally and internationally in Europe and USA. She is actively involved in teaching and pursues academic interests by authoring book chapters, publishing journal articles in peer reviewed journals and presenting nationally and internationally.
