Biography
Victoria qualified as a dentist with honours from Leeds University Dental School in 2001. After various practice, community dental and hospital posts she joined the orthodontic specialist registrar training programme in Liverpool. She completed her specialist training in Orthodontics in 2007 gaining the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the M.Dent.Sci with distinction from the University of Liverpool.
Following entry to the Orthodontic Specialist list, Victoria undertook a further 2 years of training as a Senior Registrar at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester to gain the Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship in Orthodontics of the Royal College and achieve Orthodontic Consultant status in 2009.
Victoria is currently a Consultant in Orthodontics at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester, Manchester Foundation Trust. She is also an Honorary Clinical Fellow in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester, teaching orthodontics to undergraduate and postgraduate students, orthodontic nurses and therapists as well as supervising MSc theses. She runs the training programme for senior orthodontic trainees in the Greater Manchester region.
Victoria’s special interest of work is the orthognathic area of orthodontics along with the management of patients with severe hypodontia. Additionally within the hospital service she sits on several committees and is involved with research and audit. Victoria has lectured nationally and has published in Orthodontic and science journals.
