Biography

Iain has worked as a Consultant Paediatric Otolaryngologist at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH) since 2009 and is the Honorary Professor of Paediatric Otolaryngology, MAHSC, University of Manchester. His clinical sub-specialisations include hearing implants, hearing & ear problems, airway management and Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS).

Iain is an active researcher, having been awarded 10 prestigious National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) grants and regularly contributes by invitation to international Paediatric ENT, MPS & Cochlear Implant conferences. He runs a vibrant postgraduate research (PGR) programme and was awarded the University of Manchester, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, Doctoral Academy Outstanding Supervisor of the Year in 2022. He is a past Editor-in-Chief of the Cochlear Implants International journal and past member of the Standing Scientific Committee of the European Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO).
