Biography
Richard is a senior consultant and was appointed in May 2006. He has a specialist interest in emphysema and lung volume reduction, pulmonary vascular disease and occupational lung disease. He co-authored the trust PE guidelines and runs an MDT with the Sheffield pulmonary hypertension unit. He established the lung volume reduction MDT over 10 years ago and continues to place endobronchial valves under conscious sedation. He has recently set up a alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency clinic to serve the northern region.
