Biography
Dr Lord is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the North West Lung Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. His clinical work focuses on bronchiectasis, respiratory infection and the care of patients with complex chronic airways disease.
He has a particular interest in improving specialist bronchiectasis care and developing services that are tailored to the individual needs of each patient. This includes improving care for people whose symptoms or test results do not fit neatly into a single diagnosis, but who may still benefit from a more personalised approach to respiratory care.
Alongside his clinical role, Dr Lord is involved in clinical trials of new medications for bronchiectasis and has research interests in better describing the different types of airway inflammation that contribute to lung disease.
