This includes oncological conditions involving tumours. MFT’s Wythenshawe Hospital is the hub to these services, covering all of South Manchester.
All inpatient treatment takes place at Wythenshawe Hospital. We have a dedicated team wo perform specialist surgery for a range of conditions. Our staff also hold outreach clinics, ambulant and day surgery, at Christie Hospital, Stepping Hill Hospital Stockport and Maccclesfield General Hospital.
With our ENT colleagues, we are the Cancer Centre for Head and Neck Oncology for South Manchester. Our Head and Neck Multi-disciplinary meeting is held every Tuesday morning at Christie Hospital and all in patient treatment is provided at Wythenshawe Hospital. F9 is our dedicated Head and Neck ward.
As well as providing a comprehensive service including the conditions listed below, we are an Associate Cancer Centre for Head and Neck Oncology for Greater Manchester.
We provide a comprehensive service including the diagnosis and management of conditions including: facial injuries, head and neck cancers, salivary gland diseases, facial disproportion, facial skin cancers, facial pain, Temporomandibular joint disorders, impacted teeth, cysts and tumours of the jaws, oral mucosal disorders, and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.

Research
Patients are recruited to various trials through our Oncology colleagues at Christie Hospital.
Location
The Maxillofacial department is located in the Green zone. Enter through the main Outpatients entrance and we are on the ground floor, next to the Treatment and Diagnostic Centre. The service at The Christie is located in the Outpatients department.
